Four concentrations. Many career paths.

You’re more than a mathematical thinker — you’re a problem solver. We offer four concentrations to help you specialize your skill set for the career you want to pursue.

  • Business Analytics
  • Finance
  • Forensic Accounting
  • Generalist

Business Analytics

The Business Analytics concentration is designed to develop your professional skills across all aspects of business, including finance, marketing, accounting and operations. You can learn the latest industry technologies, applications and processes used by organizations to drive key business decisions.

This concentration will help you gain technical skills in complex data analytics and database management. Designed by industry experts and top executives in the field, your MAcc with a concentration in Business Analytics can prove your value to prospective employers.

Finance

Rider’s Finance concentration can prepare you for a leadership role in managerial finance in a corporate setting. Our program capitalizes on the strengths of Rider’s AACSB-accredited accounting program and nationally ranked finance program, allowing you to develop and practice skills that can lead to success in the corporate environment.

Our distinctive managerial and accounting emphasis can help put you on the CFO path. Through our program, you can become adept at synthesizing financial and accounting data, and using modeling to recommend financial strategies that impact high-level business decisions.

Forensic Accounting

The Forensic Accounting concentration is designed to prepare you for careers in investigative accounting and fraud auditing. Upon completion of the required MAcc core curriculum, you can take 3 electives to fulfill the Forensic Accounting concentration requirements.

Your Forensic Accounting concentration is designed to build your accounting knowledge and investigative strategy. These courses can prepare you for a career in public accounting, with legal firms or government agencies.

Generalist

The generalist concentration is ideal for students who may not have a specific career path in mind but want to enrich their skills in multiple areas. When you choose this track, you have the opportunity to take any three courses from the business analytics, finance and forensic accounting concentrations.

This option can help make you a more well-rounded accounting professional, and can also expose you to new areas of interest that you may later choose to pursue as a career specialization.
