Awarded:
- Duo Lu, Assistant Professor I, Computer Science and Physics, was awarded an NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) supplement for his PFI-TT project, “Broadening the Applications of Roadside Perception for Intelligent Transportation Systems”to fund an undergraduate student researcher during the summer of 2025.
- John Bochanski, Associate Professor and Department Chair, Computer Science and Physics, was awarded a LSST-Discovery Alliance Expansion Program award in partnership with Princeton University.
Submitted and Decision Pending:
- Duo Lu, submited (September 13, 2024) to the NSF-CIRC program a collaborative research proposal with Arizona State University, proposal titled "An Open Research Platform for Multimodal and Event-based Traffic Situation Awareness".
- Hernan Fontanet, submitted (Septmeber 18, 2024) to the NEH Summer Stipend program a proposal titled "Concealing Blackness: An Academic Examination of the Whitewashing of Black Identity in Argentine Literature (1860-1914)".
- Robin Shane submitted (October 15, 2024) a proposal to the Costume Society of America to request funding for cosyume storage to a renovated facility.
- María Villalobos-Buehner, submitted (November 20, 2024) to the NEH-Collaborative Research program, proposal titled "Hiding in Plain Sight: Unveiling the Power of the Multilingual Campus".
- Morteza Mashayekhy and Jia Shen, submitted (November 20, 2024) to the NEH-Collaborative Research program, proposal titled "The Impact of Generative AI-Based Companions on Human Well-Being". This was in collaboration with Ramapo College.
- Sarah Mason, submitted (January 9, 2025) to the NEH-Preservation Assistance Grant program a proposal titled "Audio preservation of Historical westminster Choir College Recordings". This was not recommended for funding.
- Vidya Ganapathy, in collaboration with Kelly Bidle submited to the NIH-BRE SPAD program (February 19, 2025) a proposal titled "Strengthening Biomedical Research: A PUI Model for Capacity Building".
- Vidya Ganapathy submitted (February 28,2025) a NIH-OSP Seed grant proposal titled "Building Research Infrastructure-A PUI Model".
- Kerrie Sendall, in collaboration with Drs. Md Ali, Daniel Druckenbrod, Duo Lu and Zhenping Jay Luo, submitted (March 4, 2025) to the NSF S-STEM program , proposal titled, "S-STEM: Strengthening the New Jersey STEM Pipeline into U.S. Critical Needs Fields".
